Check Perry County Court Schedule

A Perry County court schedule tells you when a case is set, but a date alone is not the whole record. The full Perry County court docket lives with the clerk, so treat any calendar you find as a first step rather than the final word. Start with the public adult calendar. Then confirm the setting with the clerk who holds the case file. General Sessions runs on a steady weekly rhythm, while Circuit, Chancery, Probate, and protected Juvenile matters often take a direct call. Whatever a Perry County court schedule search turns up, check the court, the date, the time, the setting type, and the place. Online entries shift. An event missing from a list does not mean no hearing exists.

How the Perry County Court Calendar Works

The official Perry County court calendar publishes adult dockets. It does not publish juvenile case dockets because those matters receive special protection. The calendar is a schedule layer, not the complete docket history or a copy of any filed order. Search, Location, distance, Tags, Author, Subscribe, and iCal controls help readers browse events, but none replaces a case lookup.

Use an event date as a lead. Then compare it with the Perry County online case entry and contact the right clerk. Joy Breeding's office handles Circuit, General Sessions, and Juvenile records. Charlene Duplessis handles Chancery and Probate. A hearing can exist even when the public calendar has no matching event.

The official Perry courthouse event view shows how the calendar groups events by location.

Perry County court calendar courthouse event view

The image is a location-based schedule view, so an event shown there still needs a case-specific date and time check.

The courthouse location view is not a full Perry County court docket. It may show General Sessions entries as all-day events, so it should not be used to infer an individual call time. The public calendar also does not promise a separate searchable Circuit trial-week list or individual Chancery calendar. When the court family is not clear, identify the subject first: criminal and traffic matters usually point toward General Sessions or Circuit, while estates and equity matters point toward Chancery or Probate.

Perry County Adult Calendar Limits

The adult-only notice controls how the Perry County court schedule should be read. A blank calendar is not proof that a juvenile, sealed, Chancery, Probate, or Circuit setting does not exist. The county publishes recurring juvenile session categories, but no case names. Dependency and neglect proceedings are closed under the county's remote-access description.

For an adult matter, check whether the event is a broad docket call. Some courthouse events appear as all-day items even though General Sessions normally meets at a set hour. Confirm the exact time and whether the party must appear in person.

Perry County Court Date Lookups

Use every available channel when a date matters. The county calendar is useful for adult sessions, while the Perry online court-record search can locate public Circuit and General Sessions cases. The clerk can resolve conflicts and identify a setting that is not visible online.

  1. Open the live calendar and choose a month or date range.
  2. Search the case portal by full party name, original filing year, or numeric case-number suffix.
  3. Call the Circuit and General Sessions Clerk at 931-589-2218, or the Clerk and Master at 931-589-2217 for Chancery and Probate.
  4. Visit the clerk's counter at 121 E. Main Street in Linden when web tools do not settle the question.
  5. Ask counsel about the operative notice or order and confirm the court, date, time, and setting type.

A mailed inquiry can also be sent after the clerk confirms the right office and needed facts. Court pages list P.O. Box 16, Linden, TN 37096. No public self-service terminal policy or personal reminder system was confirmed.

Perry County Thursday Docket Rhythm

The General Sessions schedule says court meets each Thursday at 9:00 a.m. Criminal dockets recur in the first and third weeks. Traffic and civil matters use the second week. Juvenile and child-support sessions appear in the second and fourth weeks, but protected juvenile cases are not itemized.

The second Friday lists delinquent or unruly matters at 9:00 a.m. and dependency or neglect at 10:00 a.m. Those category times do not waive confidentiality. The county says the docket week is posted by Wednesday. Treat that practice as a useful check, not a promise that no later reset will occur.

The weekly pattern is a routing clue, not an appearance notice. A first-week criminal rhythm does not prove that every criminal case will be called then, and the second-week traffic/civil label does not cover each Circuit or Chancery hearing. Holidays, continuances, special settings, and court orders can change the pattern. A person with a citation should compare the date printed on it with the live calendar. A party with counsel should also confirm the operative notice through counsel before travel.

Court Settings: What Each Field Means

Read the full Perry County setting before making plans. A calendar label may name a whole session, while a case notice may give a more exact call time. Match the date against the case number and court office.

DateThe listed calendar day; confirm it on the live calendar.
TimeThe session or call time, which may not be unique to one case.
CourtroomThe room or courthouse location; do not infer it from a location filter.
JudgeThe judicial officer assigned to the session. Author is not the judge field.
Setting TypeArraignment, traffic/civil docket, hearing, trial, or another stage, not a result.

Check the filed notice when it is available. A setting says what should happen next. It does not say what the court later decided.

Perry County Calendar Controls

The monthly list adds Start Date, End Date, Search, Print, Filter, Apply filter, Clear, and Close. Location and distance narrow event places. Tags may narrow event types. Author refers to calendar content management, not necessarily the judge. A person seeking one case should not type a case number into a distance filter.

Subscribe or iCal
A calendar feed, not a clerk's promise to send a reminder.
Docket
A scheduled list or recorded activity, not the final judgment.
Traffic/civil
The county's combined label for the second-week General Sessions pattern.
Setting
A court event whose purpose must be read from the case notice or docket.

Clear old filters before a second search. A hidden location or date choice can make a live event look absent.

For a date-range check, open the month list, enter Start Date and End Date, run Search, and then apply only the filter that serves the question. Print creates a paper view of what is displayed at that moment. Subscribe or iCal can place a feed in another calendar program, but that copy may lag an edit or cancellation. Neither function signs a user up for a personal court reminder. Reopen the live Perry County calendar and confirm through the clerk shortly before the setting.

When a Perry County Court Date Moves

A continuance moves a setting; it does not dismiss the case. A reset may appear as a new event, a changed docket entry, or an order in the file. A cancellation can remove an online event before copied or subscribed calendars update. Check the current court record and the clerk's instruction.

If an online date and mailed notice disagree, call the office that holds the matter. Do not rely on a cached printout. The Perry County docket search can locate the public case before that call, but the clerk or operative order controls the setting.

Perry County Zoom Is Separate

A Perry County calendar listing does not include a Zoom link by default. The county says General Sessions may use Zoom and prefers advance notice when possible. Inmates often connect remotely. Access remains subject to the court's direction and whether the proceeding is public or closed.

The published pages contain differing phone routes for remote help. Verify through the clerk rather than assuming one number grants access. A Zoom request is not a continuance, and it does not excuse an appearance unless the court approves it.

The county's remote-session material distinguishes public proceedings from protected ones. Criminal, civil, and juvenile-delinquent sessions are described as open to the public subject to court capacity and conditions, while dependency and neglect proceedings are closed. That distinction applies even when technology could support a connection. Do not expect a public link for a closed hearing. Ask the court whether remote observation or participation is allowed, who will send access details, and what conduct rules apply. Recording or redistributing a remote session should never be assumed permissible.

Missed Settings and What Comes Next

Contact the correct Perry County clerk and counsel at once. Give the case number, name, court, and missed date. Ask what the docket now shows and whether the judge entered an order, warrant, default, or new date. Do not appear on a later Thursday and assume the matter will be heard.

Missed a Setting? A missed date can cause serious case-specific action, including a failure-to-appear response or an adverse civil order.

Call the Perry County clerk who holds the file and ask for the current docket status.

Seek advice from a licensed lawyer before taking a step that may affect the case.

Perry County Court Office Check

One courthouse serves several routes. Circuit and General Sessions date questions go to Joy Breeding's office. Chancery and Probate questions go to Charlene Duplessis. Juvenile schedule categories may be known while the case itself remains confidential. A Linden or Lobelville label can still point to General Sessions because the county says both municipal courts were consolidated.

Bring the court name, full case number if known, party name, filing year, and the exact event in question. Ask the clerk to read back the date, time, place, and setting type. That short check is more reliable than treating a general weekly rhythm as an individual notice.
